The SX6 presents amazing performance with great stiffness and durability within a T8 alu body and tail extension. The monocoque (one piece) profile gives extraordinary stiffness and strength. The boom head is designed for maximum grip to the mast. With a high friction contact surface against the mast, a robust rope hook and a boom lever that allows you to effortless apply high-tension when securing the boom to its correct position. The double pin lock system provides optimal load distribution and a stiff connection between the boom monoquoe body and tail end, even when maximally extended. All graphics on the EVA are die-cut so no graphics will peel off, even after years of wear n'tear.
Get out there and go for it with the SX6 boom, durability and performance that you can trust!
DOUBLE PIN LOCK
For presice load distrubtion the SX boom series all feature the double pin lock system for a stiff connection between the boom body and tail end, even when maximally extended.
BOOM PROFILE
The modern bend curve that ensures a uniform pull onto front- and backhand giving a natural ergonomic position while sailing, automatically positioning the sail at the right angle for the wind to enter and exit the sail. This position varies with the wind strength and windsurfing discipline, so each boom size needs to be developed accordingly.
RDM SHIM
All SX6 booms up to 180 include a integrated shim for RDM masts for secure fit on both RDM and SDM masts.
THE BOOM HEAD
The boom head is designed for maximum grip to the mast. With a high friction contact surface against the mast, the boom will stay in place even during hard landings. A robust rope hook for superb stability and a boom lever that allows you to effortless apply tension when securing the boom to its correct position.
OUTLINE AND TAIL WIDTH
The outline and width of the tail are crucial for the rig to deliver the right balance between power and control. The outline on the 140 and 160 booms are designed specifically for wavesailing and bump n'jump sailing where you want to be closer to the rig for control. The 180 and 200 have a wider outline to get momentum on the rig to go really fast. A wider tail generates more power and a more narrow tail piece more control. This position varies with the wind strength and windsurfing discipline, therefor each boom size have been developed individually.
