Race sail performance without the encumberments of a pure slalom sail. 2 cams and a narrower luff sleeve make the V8 easier to rig, gybe and water start than a pure race sail.
Don’t let the ease of use fool you though, V8 can hold its own around a race course and boasts even better early planning than even the most advanced slalom sails. Perfectly suited for foil or fin.
Designed and tested at our NeilPryde Maui Design Centre by Robert Stroj, then further developed through our team riders' feedback from across the world. No stone is left uncovered in our relentless drive to be the best at what we do.
CUSTOM PRINTED MONOFILM PANELS. DOUBLE LUFF PANEL. CLEAR MONOFILM WINDOW
V8 features our custom, internally laminated upper panels for bright colours which last, and our double luff construction which is shared with V8 Flight.
The upper panels feature INTERNALLY PRINTED LAMINATED FILM to produce the crispest, most responsive feeling and bright colours which will stand the test of time.
A double luff panel consisting of an overlaid monofilm panel and an X-Ply panel provide excellent stitch holding properties, for added strength in this extremely high-load area of the sail, and the responsive load distribution performance that using a single panel with no cross-stitching allows.
Our Fastest Freeride Sail
Borrowing concepts from the RS:Racing sail line, V8 is the fastest sail you will find that is not a fully race-tuned machine.
Ease of Use
Light-weight, stable profile and easier to rig than a full on race sail. Top speed and acceleration will be close to that of the RS:Racing but rigging, gybing and water starting will be easier due to the twin cam setup, slightly reduced downhaul tension and the narrower luff sleeve.
Foil or Fin
Equally at home on foil or fin, V8 will allow you to get the most out of every session, no matter where you are.
7 Batten Layout
Ultimate control and stability are provided by the 7 batten layout.
Twin Cam
2 mini cams offer the easiest possible rigging of a cambered sail while still providing the benefits of a locked front profile.
