With 98% Carbon 2% Protection this mast combines the exotic lightweight advantage of a 100% carbon mast with the durability of a lower spec’ product. The silk carbon finished upper half is incredibly light but the base has been strengthened with the introduction of intermediate modulus carbon fibres in combination with the ‘ProTec’ polyamide coating.
Built to incredibly tight tolerances, every Ultimate Pro mast is individually bend tested in accordance with the Tushingham quality guarantee. This mast is obviously great for the racer, but its use extends far beyond that. As a super-light mast it will feel fantastic whatever your level of windsurfing ability.
Tushingham is the only sailmaker with sophisticated, in house electronic mast testing equipment. Other sailmakers have to rely on data supplied by the mast producers, which cannot always be relied upon to be accurate.

Bend curves
Following extensive R&D, Tushingham have identified the bend curves that obviously work perfectly with Tushingham sails, but will also improve the performance of many other sails. In a recent Boards Magazine test, many sails from other brands performed better on a Tushingham than on their own recommended mast.
