ALL TERRAIN FREEWAVE
The Simmer Helix is a modern freewave board that combines electric high wind freeride performance with the ability for exciting jumping and easy access turning in waves. Anywhere there is wind and water you can use this board to maximize your fun. The new Helix has a completely re-designed outline, with a compact but classic looking nose and a wider curvier rear section that ends in a cut away style v-form. This new outline maximizes a light and nimble straighline feel while also enhancing snappiness in waves, whether in single fin or thruster mode. Since the Helix is such an easy board to sail, it is the perfect choice to get into wave sailing.
The Helix 86 and 96 comes standard with a tri fin setup and the 106 and 116 comes delivered with a Freewave single fin, but we also recommend an alternative fin setup that get the most out of all conditions. With a single fin, the board is a fast and effective performer, that will give many freeride boards a run for their money. With the tri fin setup the board becomes a versatile freewave performer that combines amazing planing performance with the best possible jumping threshold and an ability to handle waves from small onshore slop to serious sideshore overhead lips. Our tailored fin selection, fin positions, and double or single back strap positions for each size complete the uncompromised convertible set up.
The Electric Flex Technology
Our layup, construction, and reinforcement are all placed in where user needs and they all work in together to create the optimal stiffness to weight ration. The construction moves with you, rather and against you, which makes the board feel more lively in every movement. We call this technology Electric Flex. For our wave boards we use 45 degree carbon layup for maximum the strength and flex and for our flatwater boards we use 30 degree carbon layup for more vertical strength. Basically, flex and stiffness where its needed. The main features of the construction is the PVC Sandwich stringer. This is the spine of the board which absorbs and distributes the force from impacts throughout the boards entire construction. This eliminates unnecessary breakage as stress is shared between the entire hull, creating a much more durable construction. The stringer also helps to maintain the rocker curve during manoeuvres.
Hot-Coat Finish
All G6 boards feature a hot-coat paint finish. This process combines the colour pigment with the outer layer of a hard epoxy gel coat, this improves the board colour longevity, making it almost impossible to stratch off, it produces an extremely UV-resistant coating that ensures the boards colour resists fading in strong sunlight, all of this whilst saving weight by replacing the base coat paint, and two layers of top coat paint
Cutaway vee tail
The cutaway vee tail allows a generous surface area underneath the back strap while still maximizing the snappiness in waves, whether in single fin or thruster mode.
Contours
An efficient rocker with a progressive Vee with a low-drag midsection for vee that will easily generate speed down and quick planing. The curved sections of the rocker allow riders from the intermediate to experts to drive through their turns with confidence.
New foot pads
Dual-density EVA foot pads; 8 mm + 2 mm thickness. Textured with a diamond grip for superhero traction.
THRUSTER FIN SETUP
The Tri fin Helix combines the ultra-fast freewave rocker with the enhanced turning performance offered by the shorter center fin. This extends the range of the board towards that of a dedicated wave board, while still keeping the classic easy and agility of a freewave board for straight-line sailing. The tri setup also lowers the nose a bit, which adds control in choppy conditions, and together with the lower leverage of a shorter center fin, this gives the board and more controlled ride in overpowered conditions.
Standard fin setup for 86 and 96, alternative fin setup for 106 and 106.
SINGLE FIN
The Helix single fin takes this ultra-fast and steady freewave shape to it’s limit as far as early planing, upwind capability and pure blasting. The curvy outline and slender hull shape provide excellent jibing and enough turning performance to also make the board a capable performer when entering the waves.
Standard fin setup for 106 and 116, alternative fin setup for 86 and 96.
